WOVEN TEXTILE DESIGN FOR HOME (2026)

Goal:

Develop a woven floral rug design inspired by vintage cottage florals and romantic Burlington-style home decor. Drawing from traditional trellis layouts, botanical motifs, and heritage floral references, I created a softened open-field composition designed for mass-market home retail.

Solution:

Combine traditional trellis layouts with delicate floral motifs, open spacing, and softened pastel palettes to create a commercially viable rug concept. Simplified color blocking and woven-friendly textures were incorporated to ensure the design translated effectively for textile production while maintaining a romantic, approachable aesthetic.
