CHD TEXTILES: KID RUGS (2025)

Project: Product Design/ Textile Design

This project involved designing a series of children’s rugs for production, inspired by the William Sonoma brand aesthetic. The work focused on translating the brand’s refined, timeless design sensibility into playful, kid-friendly patterns suitable for children’s spaces.

Goal:

Create a rug collection that balanced youthful charm with an elevated look . The objective was to develop designs that felt imaginative and approachable for children, while remaining cohesive with the brand-inspired visual language parents trust.

Solution:

Develop original patterns using soft, curated color palettes, clean illustrations, and thoughtful composition to echo William Sonoma’s classic and approachable style. Subtle playful elements were layered into the designs to maintain a sense of warmth and fun without overpowering the refined aesthetic. The result was a production-ready collection that felt both child-friendly and brand-inspired.
