CHD HOME TEXTILES: TRADITIONAL RUGS (2026)

Category: Product Development

This project highlights the development of traditional rug designs created for internal brands serving major market retailers including Burlington, Ross, and Target. The process involved trend and competitive market research, image sourcing, color palette development, and mood board curation.

Goal:

Develop intricate traditional rug layouts at a fast-paced production cadence while maintaining originality, commercial appeal, and retailer-specific styling needs.

Solution:

I created a modular template system that allowed interchangeable use of borders, fields, medallions, and ornamental elements across multiple rug layouts. Using cleaned image renderings and reusable structural components, I was able to efficiently generate a higher volume of production-ready rug concepts while maintaining variation, cohesion, and original visual identity throughout the collection.
